   Pete Davis
1941 - 2011
It is with great sadness that we report that Pete Davis passed away earlier this week. Pete was a founder member of Cotswold Fencing Club, and had been Head Coach and Chairman of the club for many years, rarely missing a week - until he was taken ill.
He has always fully supported the club, making sure that the sport of fencing continued within Cheltenham. Over the years he has introduced  many people to fencing with his ready smile, friendly manner, and teaching style. He will be sorely missed. Our deepest sympathy goes to Sue his wife, and his children.

Coaching - Course
19th June 2010

Kevin Nelson has attended the Coaching Wheelchair Fencers Course run by The British Disabled Fencing Association.

This was an excellent course run by the British Disabled Fencing Association (BDFA).

The course covered the similarities and differences between wheelchair and able-bodied fencing. Also covering the practical aspects of safety, athlete capabilities, coaching, and competition fencing.

Cotswold Fencing Club will now be able to offer wheelchair fencing to disabled athletes
