Coaches and Committee

	Kevin Nelson BSc. P.G.C.E. Chairman and Head Coach Qualifications : BAF Level 3 Epee, Foil and Sabre, First Aid, scUK Safeguarding and Protecting Children, Enhanced CRB Checked, BDFA Coaching Disabled Fencers. Kevin learned to fence at Cotswold Fencing Club, more than 20 years ago, he took up fencing to keep fit. He started fencing foil and was a social fencer for many years. Eventually he moved onto sabre and then started competing. Kevin has been officially coaching at Cotswold since July 2006, being trained at the British Academy to coach both foil and sabre, he took over as Chairman of Cotswold in December 2009. He also fences and coaches at Salle Hunt-Roeder in Bristol. More recently Kevin has attended a number of inclusion based courses including the British Disabled Fencing Associations "Coaching Disabled Fencers". 	Natalie Gower BSc. Coach and Child Protection Officer Qualifications : BAF Level 2 Foil, and Epee, First Aid, scUK Safeguarding and Protecting Children, Enhanced CRB Checked. Nat has been fencing since 2007, and coaching since 2009. She was ladies county foil champion in 2009, and Ladies county sabre champion 2012. Nat is the Club Child Welfare Officer, Junior Coach, and also is responsible for running the club competition night, club seeding , club t-shirts, and Newsletter . 	Michael Compton Coach and Competitions Officer Qualifications : Level 3 Foil, Level 3 Sabre, First Aid, scUK Safeguarding and Protecting Children, Enhanced CRB Checked. Mike has been coaching for many years and joined Cotswold Fencing Club, when Cotswold amalgamated with Cheltenham YMCA fencing Club. Mike is an active fencer on the open and veterans circuit. Representing his country at Sabre in Veterans World Championships in Russia in 2009.
	Jon Morris Armorer Jon has been fencing with Cotswold for 10 years, and has been the clubs armorer for the last 7 years.
